On the Cartoon "Pinky and the Brain", Was Pinky a girl or boy?

-Please have detailed reason why you choose girl or boy.Pinky is a male mouse, otherwise Billie (a mouse that Brain is infatuated with) wouldn't be attracted to Pinky.



Unfortunately the love triangle get worse because Pinky is in love with a horse - Pharfignewton, who is a mare (a female).



The love interest is this:



Brain -> Billie -> Pinky -> Pharfignewton



Note: The -> are supposed to arrows pointing out the direction of the love interest.



PS: In 'Pinky and the Brain' clothes were primarily used as sight gags or disguises and really had little to do about their sex.Boy. Male voice. Constantly referred to as 'he'.
obviously a boy, they referred to him as "he" alot and if pinky was a girl pinky would probably be wearing clothes....
Pinky was a boy, in the show they referred to him as a 'he' if I recall correctly.
um he was a boy.....they called him male on every occasion (he him etc)
