Does the anime of naruto follow the manga?

-Like without the fillers and stuff does it follow exactly as what happens in the manga?Yes, without fillers anime absolutely follows manga.



But, fillers never follow manga, and if they does, they cannot be named as fillers.



But, amongst all animes, I think Naruto is the only anime where fillers are so well combined with the main story, that they do not appear as fillers (only in Naruto Shippuden though)No. Unfortunately, the anime for Naruto is incredibly and notoriously known for its fillers. Granted, it's completely loyal to the manga, however, the fillers for the show are really distracting a lot of the times.



But then, I stopped watching Shippuden, so I'm not sure how much better it is regarding fillers versus its prequel.
for the most part it does. Thats why I like it so much more than the anime. Don't get me wrong I like the anime but I don't like filler episodes. I know they have to do that otherwise they will catch up to soon but I really just like to get to the storyline.
