Would people think I'm a show off?

-For my english class next year we're required to do a summer assignment on allusions - mine being Cain and Abel, as well as the Tower of Babel. We're supposed to have a 'visual' that shows and explains our topic - like a powerpoint, for example. But this visual can be anything.

However, I dont want to do something predictable like a powerpoint - So I want to do an animation. I've had experience with it, and I think it would be really fun and exciting, considering thats my career goal. We aren't required to present these projects, but we may if we choose.

If I did an animation it would almost be a disservice to my hard work to not present it. But at the same time, if nobody else presented, I may look like I'm showing off... I don't want that. I'm not some arrogant person who is so insecure that I desire everyone to bow down before me. Not in the slightest. But.... what should I do?

Serious answers please, and thank you :)From my experience there's usually THAT GUY who actually does want to show off and will end up presenting. And there's usually more than one of them. Seeing as it is your career goal, and if you feel confident in it, I think you should totally present it in class. As long as you don't go around after talking about how great it was and stuff like that then I don't think it'd seem like you were showing off.No, actually. Your teacher will most likely be impressed by the extra effort and thought you put into your presentation. Making a Powerpoint takes, what, 5 minutes? Making even a few minutes of animation can take hours.

Once I did just a simple slideshow animation where the opening text flew by like in Star Wars. Everyone got a kick out of it, and I got a really good grade for my creativity. It pays to think outside the box. Even if anyone did think you're a showoff, that's their problem, not yours.
Why does it matter so much what others think? If you're only doing this because you want to pass, I say go ahead. And I'm sure that there'd be others that would present their project.

Besides - if this is something you're good at, you should feel free to display and use your talent. I don't see it as showing off. And if people think you are...well, they're probably just jealous xD ^^.
I think you should go for it! And don't be afraid to present. If god gave u an ability for animation it's not being prideful to 'show it off' it's just wirth it Most likely ppl won't think ur trying to be showy they will just be ah- mazes at yr talent!! Hope I helped:)
If you could pull it off, it would be daring, and school is supposed to challenge you. I say go for it
that isn't showing off....that's just the reward for your hard work...don't care about what others think about you...and people will just compliment you!!!...so it's coolllllll!!!
You should do it.if it's good enough you could get a A++++
I don't get why you would be so afraid to try show people that you want to be creative with your summer assignment. Anyone who calls you a show off is most likely jealous and a hater. You should do what you want to do, and the more you out shine yourself from others the better it will be for you. I had similar projects like this when I was younger in elementary at school, my teacher told all students to be as creative as possible (and that's exactly what I did, and I got a lot of credit for it).
