Why does ash start over in every pokemon?

-i mean come the **** on man u got charzard and like 1000X more powerful pokemon so WHY WHY WHY?? give them away also has any1 noticed pikachu is weaker in the past few "series"? i only bring this up after watching pokemon with my young cousins and i stil find it weird i mean he wants to "catch them all and be a pokemon master" so giving them all away isnt that just a contradiction to his goal?? also does brock have a gay love for him cuz he seems to follow him around and he like ditched all of his siblings its pretty weird if u ask meThese little restarts help keep new kids (The target audience, mind you.) interested in the show. The anime is suppose to be about a 10 year-old boy on his journey to learn how to be a great Pokemon trainer. If Ash already knew everything he wouldn't be learning, now would he?

In other words, Ash will never age, Pikachu's power is always going to reset after each saga, and Ash will always revert back into a total newbie at the beginning of each region. It's a sad fact of life. Personally, I think Ash's failure to achieve his dreams has inspired a generation of pathetic betas.

I couldn't agree with you more when it comes to his BW team. They couldn't have made it any lees interesting.hahaha so many things you could ask about pokemon...

-shouldn't ash be like 20?

-shouldnt pikachu have at least evolved already?

-etc.

yeah it's probably to keep it "interesting" but either way the series just went way down since they replaced misty. also hhaha what a nice brother brock is:) thats a good point and you must be right! maybe he hits on all of those girls to hide his secret love for ash!!
Ash is actually a 43-year-old blind quadruplegic who is being kept inside a virtual reality program so he doesn't have to deal with the horrors of his real life.
Simple, Ash likes a challenge of training new Pok茅mon and he doesn't want things to be that easy.

Yes, Pikachu's power level is always reset at the start of the series either due to Team Rocket's machines or because of something else. And the reason why he (Pikachu is a he, it's been confirmed in-show by the way) refuses to evolve into a Raichu is because he doesn't want to change his appearance. It has nothing to do with attitude or anything like that. Pikachu likes himself the way he is and he doesn't want to change for anyone else.

And no, Brock feels nothing for Ash considering he's not even in the new current season of Pok茅mon Black and White.

Also he only gives some of his previous Pok茅mon because he's a caring individual. If a Pok茅mon Trainer doesn't care about what their Pok茅mon wants to accomplish in their life then they're not going to treat their trainer with the same respect. It's just like how in real life trust is a 2-way street, it's the same thing with respect.

Also Ash's goal is only to be a Pok茅mon Master, it was never to catch every single Pok茅mon. That was just a slogan that the American companies added but it was more to go with trying to market and promote the games and they just decided to throw it on the show for the first season or 2.
