What is Naka-Kon like?

-I'm still a bit of a noob at anime cons(only been to 3) And they were all the same con. I've been researching different anime cons that are relatively close to where I am and one was Naka-Kon. Since I've never been, I'm very interested in what it's like. What happens? Is there anything special about it? Do many people cosplay in groups? I really want to know these things. I looked all over the website and am extremely excited about the Hetalia panels and the guests. But I still wonder if my friends and I will fit in?



We like to meet new people and can be pretty outgoing. (The con we usually go to tends to have shy people and it's harder to make friends)

We enjoy good cosplay and love to glomp people. (I've heard people in some places don't like that????)

Would we fit in? I also want to know personal experiances to maybe help enlighten me a bit! =D Thanks!Hahaha, you will fit in with Naka-Kon just fine. Naka-Kon is a pretty good Con (I've been going to it for the past three years and will go again this Feb.) It's a pretty decent sized convention. Not as big as ones such as Anime Expo or anything, but it's not a small Con by any means either. I'd say it's maybe a midsized convention. Tons of people Cosplay here and are usually pretty outgoing. You won't really find any shy people here. I've cosplayed here before as General Cross from D. Gray-man and a couple other characters and have been glomped a few times, so I'm sure it will be fine haha. My personal experiences at this Con have been great and I enjoy going to this Con (I've gone for the past three years and it's become one of my regular Cons I go to, so that's says something right haha ^_^!) People do Cosplay in groups, in fact last year there was a huge Hetalia group, and me and my friends were part of a Soul Eater group and held a panel, and the guest panels are awesome. I thoroughly enjoy the panels at this Con, but if panels aren't your thing, you can socialize. As I said, there are many cosplayers at this con, and most of them are very friendly and may strike up a random conversation with you, ^_^! So based on my experiences and opinions, I really think you should highly consider going to this Con. For one, it's one of the bigger Midwest Conventions (I am from the Midwest area and quite a few of them tend to be on the smaller side and the larger ones are too far away) and two there are good people here. Plus, Naka-Kon never disappoints with their guests, and it's genuinely a fun time. I hope you do decide to go, maybe I'll see you there haha (I will be going as Marie from Soul Eater, possiblly General Cross again, and Mad Hatter Undertaker from the Black Butler OVA Ciel in Wonderland)
